Contemporary portrait photography
Most people are excited about having one wedding. Ali and Malin had two, and on the very same day. First, a traditional Swedish church ceremony – with chiming bells, beautiful flowers and nordic hymns. Then followed a romantic Iranian wedding blessing, with roses, almonds and the sharing of honey. What a special way to begin their journey together.
Having met at Euro Disney, I’m sure this fairy tale couple will live happily ever after.
Just over a month ago I had the pleasure of traveling to the Colombian city of Medellín. This wonderful country’s good name has been tarnished by years of drug trafficking, paramilitary violence and high profile kidnappings. Colombians are some of the friendliest people I’ve ever met. Soon I hope to return and explore more of this beautiful country!
The Cat Show pawed its way into town last Sunday and to say the least there was a wide variety of felines on display. As always my lens was drawn to the people. Everyone from the judges examining every detail of the kitties to the owners proudly displaying their prized pets in cages adorned with mini channelers and framed impressionist paintings. Meow!
Last November, hundreds of the world’s best chess players gathered in Dresden, Germany for the 38th Chess Olympiad. Players from 275 teams aged between 7 to 88 play for up to five hours a day. Often the spectators proved more fascinating than the competitors, standing for hours silently watching matches and following every detail of the “action”.
